'KING KONG'S LAST STAND'
Handmade sculpture in cast resin with a life colour finish, which takes a lot of love and labour to make each one. He is a limited edition, one of a very few sculptured homages to 'Kong' in the world.
This is my own creation in tribute to the greatest movie monster af all time - 'King Kong'. It depicts his last moments as he defiantly straddles the peak of the Empire State Building with his only love and precious 'possession' 'Ann Darrow'. In sculpting him, I have blended facial and physique features from both the classic original 1933 film version and Peter Jackson's recent film version with some elements of the 'Aurora' kits of the 60's and 70's to create a somewhat stylised iconic image with a little realism.
