'KING KONG (1933) BUST'

SHOWING THE SCULPTING WORK ON THIS FIGURE. THE BUST WAS FIRST SCULPTED IN TERRACOTTA CLAY AND FROM THIS A LATEX MOULD WAS TAKEN TO REPRODUCE DETAIL FOR DUPLICATION INTO THE FINAL CASTING MATERIAL.

Advanced fur and features detail with removal of fangs for moulding purposes

January 15th 2009  (Below): Sculpture completed. Rudimentary canine teeth have been removed for moulding purposes.
Teeth are cast separately and will be placed into the gums of each of the main casting.
Latex moulding has commenced on the bust. This is more time-consuming compared to silicone application
and will require a few weeks before completion of the entire mould and first casting.
